Prepare working drafts from the record

NyayStack drafting workflows help turn reviewed facts and research into a structured first draft. They do not file documents or replace counsel's responsibility for the final pleading.

Use the Matter record

Drafting can draw on matter details and selected documents that the user is authorized to access. Keep the factual basis traceable: distinguish a document-supported fact, a client instruction and an issue that still needs confirmation.

Choose a suitable structure

A writ petition, appeal, written submission, reply or notice has a different purpose and structure. Start from the relief sought, procedural posture and applicable forum, then organize grounds or propositions around the record and verified law.

Do not fill factual gaps by invention

Unknown dates, parties, annexures, citations and procedural events should be left for confirmation. Review every quotation against the source and every legal proposition against its authority before signing or filing.

Research before finalizing

A draft should use authorities that have been checked for identity, relevant passage and treatment. Search for adverse law and arguments as well as support; a polished draft is not a substitute for that review. Research and verify authorities.
