Read judgments with the source text close at hand
Judgment analysis in NyayStack is intended to help organize a first review. The judgment remains the authoritative text, and every generated summary or translation needs comparison with that source.
A structured first pass
A useful judgment note separates material facts, issues, submissions, holding, reasoning, relief and passages that may matter to the current file. The reviewer should distinguish the court's actual decision from argument summaries and commentary.
Ground analysis in available text
Analysis depends on the judgment text available to the workspace. If a source is incomplete, scanned poorly or unavailable, the limitation should remain visible. Do not infer a missing passage, citation, bench composition or later treatment.
Translation is a working aid
A request to translate a judgment into Hindi or another supported language should preserve legal names, citations and paragraph references where possible. Compare the translation line by line on material issues; it is not a certified translation.
Move from reading to research
Use a judgment as a starting point for checking authorities it cites and later decisions that may affect its use. Verify those materials independently before describing a case as followed, distinguished or overruled. Explore legal research.
